Noah and Harlow were young loves that ended up in a situation that was more than they wanted to handle. Noah did not deal with it well at all and acted like brat and because of that he lost Harlow.Six years later and Harlow is back in town because her Gram has died and she is now parent to her teenage brother. The one person she doesn't expect to run into is Noah. But Noah has other plans. He want's the girl back now that she is back in town. Harlow is more than leery of letting him in again and justifiably so.
I wasn't sure how much I believed that she had not been with anyone else in that time, but I was slightly disappointed to hear he had been. Even though I did actually expect him to have been more of a man ho as per usual with boys nursing their wounds.
Circumstances pull a ground hog day on them, but his time Noah is pushing and Harlow is resisting. I understood Noah's frustration but I thought he was a bit of a jerk during this time. They were both still fairly young and still quick tempered so I wasn't quick to root for a quick reunion. (The nickname honey was just odd for their age. lol)
The ending is a cute HFN.

Good book
I loved this book, the friendships, the laughter. The teenage years (I am heading in to it with my child. A bit of sex to heat it up. But a real story. With ups and downs. Love it going to get the next one.
I love second chance romance stories and I love all of Jessica Prince's stories, so a combination of the 2 made an amazing story! It's beautifully written, funny at times, and a book I could not put down!
I love angst. Everything about it from the gut wrenching feeling in the pit of your stomach to that heart pounding moment when everything goes wrong. I. Love. Angst.
But I'm very picky about romantic comedies. I've been in the mood for a good rom-com and went through several DNFs before I finally (FINALLY) read Wildflower by Jessica Prince.
Everything about this story was fantastic. Harlowe and Noah have a special bond that neither time nor distance can erase. It's fun, sexy and sometimes a bit sad. All of the emotions are there, perfectly balanced in a beautiful and articulate masterpiece.
I highly recommend this book and author
Although this book is part of a series, I feel that it can be read as a stand alone. If you enjoy a sweet story with a comedic tone, then this is a great book for you. It's a second chance romance for Harlow and Noah. At 18 they were together. After a six year absence, Harlow comes back to raise her brother, who is 14. The scenes between Harlow and Ethan (her brother) are funny. I chuckled out loud numerous times, especially during the "sex talk" scene. The author doesn't make you wait to long to find out the part of the reason that Harlow left town, but the entire story doesn't come out for a while. Dual point of view. No cliffhanger. Great secondary characters.
Oh my. What a perfect story! It has everything you want ... humor, witty banter, hilarious dialogue, sweetness and super steamy scenes.
I devoured every part of Wildflower. The Colors series is quickly becoming one of my all time favorite series ever. The characters have depth and are engaging.
Jessica Prince has definitely come into her own when discovering her talent of writing RomCom's. She could make a grocery list funny, I'm sure of it.
You won't regret a single moment of reading Wildflower - I snort-laughed, laughed out loud, sighed and... well, I liked it all. No, scratch that. I LOVED it all.
Can't get enough of the Colors Novels! Each book in this series has a heavy backstory, only to find yourself laughing out loud at the antics of the characters. I cannot say enough good things about these.
In this installment we get Harlow and Noah's story. Harlow has had to return to her hometown from her great apartment in NYC in order to care for her younger sibling after the death of her grandmother. Harlow is no stranger to this town. She escaped 6 years ago for a reason, it brings nothing but heartbreak and memories she doesn't need to relive. But she will do anything for her brother, including uprooting her life in the big city. But what she doesn't expect is that seeing Noah again will stir up so many memories.
This beautiful story will break you apart. Noah and Harlow dealt with so much when they were just children, and working through their issues as adults isn't easy. Harlow has grown so much since she left for the big city, but what she didn't realize is that she'd left her heart and part of her behind. Noah had to grow up fast when an injury he couldn't recover from ruined his chances to be the big football star he planned. But unlike Harlow he didn't run, he planted roots and seeds in his town and made peace with his life. When he finally gets face to face with Harlow the showdown begins and his quest to win back the girl that he loved is set in gear.
You will laugh, and you will cry there is no doubt about it. When you hear their story and everything that they went through together and apart it will make your heart hurt. But Jessica never leaves us without a beautiful story that brings her characters to a HEA that they both deserve! Harlow and Noah will become one of your favorites in this series. They truly are mine!
