I read this book to my grandchildren, ages 7 and 3. The theme of sharing is particularly relevant right now, and this book really spoke to them. They both could relate to Koa, and liked the cute characters and the colorful pictures. The day after I read the book my grandson said, "That was a really good book, Poppi." We then began to talk further about the value and benefits of sharing. This was easy to do because we could relate what we discussed to the characters in the book.Product details

Great book for elementary age children to learn the lesson of sharing. I would highly recommend this book for any reading center in an early elementary classroom.
When I read this book to my Grandson (age 6), he loved it. When I finished the book, he said, "Awww that was a really good book, Grandma!" It is a wonderful story with a great message. I highly recommend it!
The author did a great job at explaining the concept and idea of sharing and the unkind reality when you don't share with your friends. Great for young elementary aged children to understand the value of sharing and expand their vocabulary at the same time.
