As the title promises, In Deep Trouble delivers all the ingredients for trouble right at the start -- a troubled teen, a complicated love match, sinister lurkings beyond the safe shelter of the namesake ranch (this is the second in the Triple-D Ranch series, after In Hot Water (Triple-D Ranch Book 1)) -- and then works everything into a suspenseful tangle. Odell delivers the romance -- her characters are genuine and complex, as is their attraction and the complications that keep them apart. She also serves up the suspense, which increases by degrees like a tightening lasso. Odell is great at layering a setting, using it to strengthen both character and plot (I learned much here about horses and the proper maintenance of a Stetson) and captures the soulful, almost spiritual, nature of ranch work. She does the same with the yearnings of her characters, especially Cecily's desire to help wayward youth get on the right track. I highly recommend this visit to the Triple-D.Product details

Love books that aren't necessarily a series but have the same locations and characters so you get a more in-depth feel for the author's world! A great mix of romance and mystery, good guys and bad guys, and an HEA. Feel like I actually went to the Triple-D and met the people and animals.
I really loved this book by Terry O'Dell. Every time I had to put it down to go do something that involved real life, I couldn't wait to get back to reading it to see what was going to happen next. I loved it even more than "In Hot Water", the previous book in the series, and I really liked that one as well. I would definitely recommend this book to a friend.
Cecily Cooper’s got her heart set on making her new program, Helping Others Through Horses, into a success, only her program depends on her brother’s generosity, and the patience of his ranch hand, Bryce Barrett, her maybe boyfriend. Of the four people most closely involved, including her first participant, Grady, Cecily feels she’s the only one showing enthusiasm for her program.
As Cecily and Bryce’s romance gets off to a shaky start, Grady’s scared of the horses and keeping secrets. One of those secrets comes back to haunt him in a terrible way.
